The Troy ISD Board of Trustees at its regular meeting on January 29, 2026, approved the proposed waiver application to delay the full implementation of certification requirements for teachers of record in foundation courses until the beginning of the 2029-30 school year. This board approved plan allows Troy ISD to waive certain rules and requirements set forth in the Texas Education Code. This waiver will extend through the 2028-29 school year.
